Pirelli asked Carlo Furgeri to document its factories across Europe. These images were shot for a book named Stories of work. The focus was primarily on the relation man-machine and man-man. It was shot in different countries starting from Italy, through Romania, Germany and Turkey. The body of work was published in a book edit by Mondadori and it ended in a big exhibition held at La Triennale di Milano.
